POSITION: APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER

REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must be able to update and develop new programs in either web or non-web environment. Preferred experience: technical knowledge of current application programming languages - HTML, JavaScript, and XML, PHP, C #.Net, VB.NET, ASP.NET, knowledge of developing programs using Database back-ends, using ODBC & ADO, Windows Server environment. Should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, capability to explain procedures in writing or verbally. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or education and training equivalent to a four (4) year college degree in computer science or closely related field and/or two (2)+ years of relevant experience working in a Microsoft Operating Systems environment developing applications. Must possess a valid SC driver’s license. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

SALARY: $40,741.00+ Negotiable, Depending on Qualifications

POSITION: Information Technologies Technician II

REQUIREMENTS: The purpose of this position is to provide advanced level work on projects and other tasks that are related for the implementation of GIS (Graphical Information System) Technologies. Specific technical knowledge of ESRA technologies is essential. This position will perform complex technical tasks directly related to the utilization ESRA products, and their technical support. Implementation of the County’s various GIS layers. Specific focus will be the enchantment and maintenance of the County’s GIS layers. The ability to work on very detailed tasks required, additionally the creation of complex and detailed GIS maps and other related documents from the existing GIS information, required. Technical knowledge of windows server 2003/Oracle Database environment preferred. The ability to work well with various individuals and respond to requests for help and support essential, and a willingness to learn new technologies and work on various GIS and Oracle Database related projects as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Preferred a Bachelor’s Degree with a GIS or an engineering background and/or education and training equivalent to four (4) years of college in a related environment. Two or more years of relevant work experience and extensive experience with GIS, computers, data processing and database technologies. A high level of written and spoken literacy required. Must possess a valid SC driver’s license. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Must be prepared to prove, if selected for an interview specific ESRA technical competency.
