This position can be performed remotely. We are currently seeking an Implementation Manager in the East Coast region.
DemandTec's Consumer-Centric Merchandising, Sales, and Marketing software helps retailers and consumer products manufacturers strategically plan, optimize, and execute pricing, promotion, and markdown programs based on a quantified understanding of consumer demand. The software uses sophisticated analytical techniques to optimize price and promotion as a single system, taking into account the interdependencies between complementary and substitute products, trends in customer purchasing behavior and external market conditions. DemandTec has implemented its solutions with some of the worlds leading retailers and has consistently demonstrated the ability to significantly increase sales turnover, unit volume and net profit.
The Professional Services Department is focused on delivering all aspects of DemandTec's breakthrough solution to its customers. Members of the Professional Services team work together in a project based environment that has a significant consultative sales component to ensure that customers receive full benefits from our solution. All members of the team must acquire an in-depth understanding of DemandTecs products and services and be effective in interacting with other parts of the organization including Product Management, Operations and Engineering.
The DemandTec Implementation Manager is responsible for managing the customer relationship from the moment the Sales team closes the sale through implementation and beyond. The Implementation Manager will manage the overall project plan for delivering a high-quality implementation at the Customer site. He or she will coordinate the efforts of the System Engineering, Statistical, and Business Analysis groups at DemandTecs corporate headquarters in support of his or her Customers needs. An Implementation Manager must possess a balance of analytical problem solving and strong interpersonal and relationship development skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute an implementation project plan, meeting all deliverables and deadlines
Own the relationship with each of his/her assigned customers and ensure complete customer satisfaction and referencability
Manage a multi-function internal implementation team (3-6 people) throughout the process
Present to and interact with senior and middle-management executives
Prepare current customers for the presentation and sale of future DemandTec services
Provide ongoing customer support on use of DemandTec applications and services
Facilitate required transfer of data and information between customer and DemandTec
Conduct ad-hoc analyses leveraging Consumer Demand Models
Function as the primary point of contact between customer personnel and the DemandTec staff
Required Experience:
Proven track record of successfully selling and servicing customers and managing ongoing customer relationships
Analytical thinker comfortable with managing complex data analyses
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Strong interpersonal skills
2-4 years Account Management or Project Management experience
Willingness to travel to customer sites to perform duties (50-75% travel)
Required Education:
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
Desired Skill Sets:
Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail, Management Consulting, Syndicated Data Services and/or Marketing industry experience
MBA or other advanced degree
Additional language skills
